Pressure Cooking 101
Pressure cookers are amazing kitchen tools if you know how to use them! Learn how to make delicious and healthy recipes in this handy appliance and find out what all of those buttons are for and which ones you actually need. Everyone will participate in hands-on cooking with a pressure cooker: bring your own if you want to practice with it. Class includes samples from several recipes and a recipe booklet.
Homemade pizza tastes so much better and is much healthier and cheaper than store-bought or delivered pizza. In this class, you’ll learn how to make your own pizza at home (including the crust), and discover important tips that will guarantee a delicious pizza! You’ll make your own pizza in class and have a variety of toppings to choose from. Class also includes tip sheet and recipes.
Fix & Freeze
Find out how easy and convenient it is to make meals in advance and freeze them. In this class, you will put together your own 4 meals to take home and freeze. You have the option of dividing your 4 meals into 8 smaller meals for the same price. Meals choices are: Chicken Chili, Taco Soup, Sweet & Sour BBQ Meatballs, Chicken Noodle Soup, Hawaiian Pork Chops, and Minestrone Soup.
Easy Bread Baking (add 1/2 hour to class)
Baking homemade bread is so easy and also rewarding if you know what you're doing. This class will show you the steps to making delicious bread and you’ll discover how all of the ingredients work together. Choose between honey wheat, French, and cinnamon raisin bread. Class includes handouts and recipes.
Water-Bath Canning: Salsa
In this class, we’ll make a red salsa that we will preserve in jars by water-bath canning. If you’re new to canning, this class is a perfect way to become introduced to simple food preservation. Learn all about the proper ways to preserve food by canning it. Everyone participates in making salsa and filling their own jars. Class includes your own pint jar of salsa to take home, plus recipes.
Homemade Pup Treats
We will be making several different types of treats, using a variety of ingredients, including pumpkin, peanut butter, oats, wheat flour, and more. Everyone will make their own two recipes and take home a bagful of treats!
In this informative class, you'll learn how to reduce highly processed foods and eat more real, whole foods. You'll also learn about the ingredient list, packaging, how to plan ahead, what healthy eating means, how to navigate the grocery store, and more. Everyone makes (and takes home) their own tortillas!
